We had an excellent experience on this inshore fishing charter. Captain Jeff was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the local waters and tides. The boat was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for inshore fishing, with quality gear and everything we needed for a great day on the water. We went on a fishing tour with my husband and had an amazing experience. Captain Jeff did an excellent job — everything was very pleasant, well organized, and clearly explained. I had never fished in my life before, but thanks to the way Captain Jeff explained everything and helped me step by step, I understood it all and felt very comfortable. I ended up catching quite a lot of fish! My husband enjoyed the tour just as much. We were absolutely thrilled with this experience and highly recommend it to anyone who is planning or thinking about going fishing. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends as well.

This was by far the best fishing experience. Starting from before the trip, Jeff was in communication with me and was quick with his responses. Jeff was at the location early, made sure the boat was ready and all gear was rigged and ready to go. Even with knowing that January was a slow season, Jeff made it his mission to make sure we caught fish. Jeff started off at the first spot in the morning and he was telling us the locations and techniques needed to catch the different species. The first location we caught 7 different species. When that spot slowed down, he relocated us to a few different spots catching some catfish. For the last part of the trip he recommended switching up the fishing style to and location to try for the bigger fish. The first location we caught two giant Red's and the second location we hooked into another large red and a spotted trout. Jeff was extremely professional, great conversationalist and made sure that the experience was worth more than I paid. I highly recommend taking a trip with Jeff. I will no doubt, be taking more charters with Jeff this year.

We had an excellent time fishing with Captain Jeff from Leisure Life Charters. From start to finish, he was professional, patient, and incredibly welcoming. What stood out the most was how great he was with our son — he took the time to explain things, encouraged him throughout, and made sure he felt confident and included the whole trip. Captain Jeff was knowledgeable, calm, and clearly loves what he does. He made the experience enjoyable for the whole family, not just about catching fish but about learning and having fun together. We couldn’t have asked for a better outing and would absolutely fish with him again. Highly recommended for families, especially those with kids!

We recently had the pleasure of taking a fishing charter with Captain Jeff, and it was truly an outstanding experience for both me and my son. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and fun captain, look no further! From the moment we stepped aboard, the boat was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. What truly set Captain Jeff apart was his incredible expertise. He was incredibly knowledgeable, identifying every single fish we caught and sharing facts about them! He went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable and educational: * He shared many excellent fishing tips that helped me learn to fish (I’m normally a spectator) and my son said “he really wanted to help make me be better at fishing.” * He took care of everything—from baiting our hooks to helping us with our casts—which allowed us to focus purely on the fun of fishing. * He was extremely patient and made the entire learning process fun, especially for my son. Captain Jeff's fun and patient demeanor made the entire adventure memorable for my son and me. We highly recommend him and hope to come back to fish soon!

We had an absolutely amazing day on the water with Captain Jeff! From the moment we stepped aboard, he made us feel welcome and confident, whether we were seasoned anglers or total beginners. He’s friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters, fish species, and all the fishing regulations around the intercostal in St. Petersburg. Captain Jeff kept our lines baited, our spirits high, and even managed to keep my kids (12 and 14) completely engaged the whole trip — no small feat! We caught several beautiful red drum (plus some sheepshead, grunt, ladyfish, catfish, trout) , and later that evening we enjoyed the most delicious blackened fish for dinner. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and Captain Jeff clearly takes pride in giving his guests a top-notch experience. You can tell he truly loves what he does and knows these waters like the back of his hand. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, fun, and rewarding fishing charter in St. Pete, Captain Jeff is your guy. Worth every penny — we can’t wait to book with him again!

A fun morning out on the water

Having been out fishing yesterday and having a great time, I decided to book a last minute charter for today. Luckily I came across Leisure Life Charters and Captain Jeff. The low tide made it a bit tough for the Captain, however he found some great spots where we caught a range of different fish. His boat was great fun, absolutely flying across the water. We were even lucky enough to have some manatees popping up right next to the boat at one stage. Throughout the trip Captain Jeff kept us right with guidance on where to cast etc. All in all a fantastic day and would definitely go out again with Captain Jeff and Leisure Life Charters.

Captain Jeff put together an amazing half-day fishing trip for my son and me. We caught more than seven different species, and my son landed the biggest fish he’s ever caught! Jeff really knows where to find them — every stop he took us to was productive and fun. His boat was perfect for us, clean, comfortable, and set up just right for a great day on the water. We had an absolute blast and made some lifelong memories. Highly recommend Captain Jeff to anyone looking for a great fishing experience — we’ll definitely be back out there with him again soon!

Absolute best birthday/first experience!

I booked this charter as cheerleader role for my fiances birthday with Captain Jeff. Through quick chat he learned I really hadn't fished in my life let alone catch anything ever. He took on the challenge with ease. Not only did we catch SOO many fish EACH in such short time, we learned alot, laughed ALOT, and most importantly had an amazing time being present on the water as we always love doing. I wish I knew how to say this in angler vocabulary but Captain Jeff knocked it outta the park!! Thank You and we WILL see you again!!
